Yeah so I got my first taste of the new XBL experience yesterday and I have to admit…. I kinda like it. Don’t get me wrong… I’m stillnot too happy about having some little jerkoff wave at me from my dashboard…. far from it. I hate the little bastard…. but everything else is pretty nice. The new party system is FANTASTIC!!! No longer do I have to endure the inane rantings of twelve year olds or have inacurate racial slurs hurled at me….. Ah the glory of silence…. Also the notification that friends are playing the game that you just booted up is a nice touch. That along with the more detailed “XXXX wants to play” message are great additions…. I even tried installing a game to my hard drive. I know that there are a lot of people out there who have been complaining that the loading times haven’t changed much, but one thing that has is the noise level…. It’s SO much quieter when running from the HDD, no more disc noise!!!!

I am gonna take a minute to give Microsoft shit for something tho…. These “AVATARS”… so you guys have been working on these for HOW long? and thats ALL the options we get? Half of the clothing looks like ass and there isn’t even enough of it… there are all of 3 baseball caps…. and seriously…. you guys have crap all for imagination… there isn’t even a cowboy hat! The facial hair looks like crap to, and what is your fetish with stupid looking moustaches?! Avatars = EPIC FAILURE! Sorry guys these things SUCK!

Wow I feel better for getting that off my chest…. now I can go back to killing Locust.

Hey guys, I wanted to thank everyone for their kind words and understanding last week.  It made it a lot easier knowing that people understand what I was going through.  So from both my self and Amanda… Thank you.  Anyways, back on track with a brand new storyline I hope you will all enjoy!

Last night a very unfortunate thing happened.  One of my cats, Athena, passed away.  This has been pretty difficult for me and I’m having a bit of a hard time with it.  Athena was not very old,  she was only six.  Over the last couple of days she had stopped eating and started spending long periods of time just laying around… not wanting to move.

Last night, I came home from picking Amanda up from work and went to show her Athena’s condition… Very shortly after she started to have convulsions.  I ran upstairs to call my vet to see if they were open, but Athena stopped breathing…. I was able to get her breathing again and we ran to the car to rush her to the vet.  

I stopped at no less then FIVE vets in the area… each of them was closed.  Athena was struggling to breath the entire time.  As I raced towards an animal hospital I KNEW was open 24 hours, but was on the other side of the city…. she finally gave up….   Luckily I was close to my parents house and they graciously allowed me to bury her in their yard.  For which I thank them very much.

It was a disturbing and very scary event for myself and my wife.  Our cats are the closest thing we have to children right now and we love them very much.  Like I said before, I’m having a bit of a hard time with this and therefor I will not be making a comic this week.  

I hope you guys understand.  I’m just not feeling very funny right now….  Thanks for your patience.

So there won’t be a strip for Thursday because I’ve been feeling a little burned out over the last few days and I feel like I need a bit of a rest. My wife has insisted that I’ve been spending too much time working on the comic lately and that she wants me to take it easy for a while. I’m not sure exactly what I’m planning on doing to cut down on the time I’m spending on the strip…. I’ve been wanting to do a little work on my digital painting and some art tutorials to add to the site, so I’m going to have to figure out where to apply my time. Anyway, I hope you guys understand. Hopefully I’ll have something cool to post on the site by this weekend, whether or not it’s a comic remains to be seen.
