great sketsa .. We use a wet-erase map for all our stuff, but it leaves a lot to be desired (especially when everything has to be drawn on the addicting games twang

I was thinking more along the lines of how do you block out, say, building interiors, rooms, the far side of town. Places you want them to explore, but they haven't seen yet. We use a wet-erase map for all our stuff, but it leaves a lot to be desired (especially when everything has to be drawn on the spot). The advantage, of course, is nothing is revealed prematurely barring operator error.

I picked up a pad of 50 sheets at Staples for about $12... just look for it in the Easel Pad area. I try to primarily keep the campaign on rails... with oportunities for the PCs to make decisions along the way that won't alter the situation too drastically. However if they DO decide to go somewhere unexpected, I have a wet erase map that I can quickly sketch stuff on. I'm mainly using these paper maps for combat areas or places where movement is important.

That's awesome! Where do you get that paper? And how do you handle blocking out unexplored areas?
