Despite the fact that I lost most of the faith I had in humanity that day, I still like the season (as long as I can avoid the malls). There's something to be said for butchering a tree in its youth and cramming it in to your house, prolonging its life just long enough to support the requisite period of festivity. I think I'd have a tree in the house year-round if I could make up a series of sufficiently-convincing excuses.
