He concluded that the only logical explanations were that becoming a politician turned people into crooks, or that the average person is just as indisposed to being a crook, but being in politics gives them the opportunity to fall in to larger schemes and more media coverage. I wouldn't say it excuses any actions, but it makes you wonder if Tiger Woods were not rich and famous, but all else were equal, if he wouldn't have made the same bad choices? I know that's a loaded question that cannot be answered, but it might help demonstrate perspective. And while we're at it, I heard Michael Vick is playing professional football again. WTF?!
