Spare Times Sketching…

Here’s a little something I whipped up today…

A “little something”? Jeez. Seriously, though, that looks fantastic! Was it all done in Photoshop, or do you have a different piece of software you use for painting?

On that note, would you be so kind as to post links to your video tutorials on your tutorials page? I like the drawing a simple head tutorial, and I wouldn’t want you to remove that one, but adding the video tutorial links there would be great. Once they fall off the front page and roll into the blog aether, they’re not as accessible. You’ve done fantastic work conveying a lot of artistic information with those videos, and I’d hate to see them not get the traffic they deserve.

Yeah this is 100% photoshop… And Yes… I do plan on putting the links to my videos on my tutorial page… I just gotta get around to it :P

I understand…I haven’t worked on my gallery code for, oh, four months now. I told David Reddick at Legend of Bill he could have it once I was satisfied with its function, then poof, just haven’t done a thing with it. I also need to get my entire back catalog into Comicpress, but that’s less important because the old site still works and showcases the strips, and frankly, I don’t like my older ones anyway.

But I hear ya. Never enough time.

That’s pretty cool…. Dave seems like a cool guy. I’m amazed at how fast his comic has taken off. I must admit that I am a little jealous of his success.

Yeah, I understand, especially since he runs a lot of guest material and such. That being said, in all my contact with him he’s been very helpful and kind. I asked him for feedback about the gallery code, since he does a lot of sketchbook stuff, and he was totally in to the idea. That was very helpful, I just never followed through.

I’m disappointed I didn’t get to meet him at Dragon*Con, but I was busy working on the electronics for a costume I built so my friend could do all the styling and such, and I got a late start on that. It was worth it, though. I’ll be posting costume shots and maybe some videos (until I figure out YourTubes or whatevs) on my site some time this week.

I made him my screensaver at work. I love everything about him, especially the intricate faded tattoos all over his body. Keep up the good work, sweetheart!!!

    Wee Wittle Bawbawian…

Hey guys… I did this sketch at lunch today and thought I’d share!

    A little something…

It has been a while since I’ve done any animation at home and I decided to whip this up while I was watching Warehouse 13 last night.  It’s nothing special, but I thought I would share.

    Fanart-stravaganza!

    Hey Guys!

Finally got around to uploading this image to the site.  It was sent to me by Lou Manglass of “Yet Another Webcomic.”  Lou’s been reading the comic for a long time now and I actually got to meet him at PAX East this year for an evening of Beer and Munchkin.  Lou sent me this piece of fan art just after my son was born and I’ve been meaning to get it up on the site for a while.  Either way it’s up now for you all to enjoy!  Also, be sure to check out his site to read his comic and check out his process page and gadgets!

    Supplementary Shenanagins…

Hey guys! I got some fantastic fan art sent to me today from Thomas Clemmons of www.RobotFriday.com Tom does a daily sketchbook comic that runs the gamut of subject matter from video games, movies and comics to journal comics.  Check out his site for a daily dose of sketches, video tutorials and live drawing feeds!
