		<description>That's why I do all my own low-voltage wiring past the service box.  Even if they're not crooks, they often don't know signal from noise and almost seem to go out of their way to make things worse.

To be fair, on more than one occasion I've actually had a highly-skilled and competent service-person who did a fantastic job.  

Then there was the guy who told me that I couldn't hook up my digital audio to my new HD satellite box because it didn't have an optical audio out port.  Not only did it have the port, it was quite clearly labeled and right next to the component video cables, plus it was in the picture-based quick setup instructions!  It really could not have been more obvious.  I know many people are on board with HDMI now, but I can't possibly be the only person who still uses digital audio and component video.  Anyway, I plugged it in and it worked fine right off the bat.</description>
